Brandon's Bday wknd!

Easter Weekend!

So this weekend was so fun. .. my mom, dad and sister stephanie came down for 4 days! We did some shopping, easter bunny and a great easter dinner on sunday. Its so fun when they get to come, its not too often it happens so i was really excited!! Gavin had so much fun with them, he kept looking in the spare room when they left. so sad. lol but so cute. I told him they went bye bye.. and he said... bye bye..(kinda like he understood!). He probably liked the easter bunny as much as he liked santa or the red robin bird! lol he kept saying.. no no no.. so i sat with him. such a cutie. We did a little trail of candy from his room into the living room. He knew exactly what to do.. put all his candy in the basket. such a smarty! now i know he is getting old. Overall it was a great weekend!. On sunday the 4th i felt the baby kick!! yay it was definately the baby. about 5 times i felt him/her! Then we heard the heart beat monday afternoon, and our ulrtasound to find out what it is, is next thurs the 15th! Alot is happening in the next month, i really like staying busy. Hawaii trip is only 4 weeks away.. still nervous but trying to be excited! lol. here are some snaps of the weekend.

So slow but yet SO fast!

So knowing baby number two is going to arrive in about 6 months. .. I am really truly trying to just enjoy my little Gavin. Just concentrating all my time on him through the whole day. At the same time i feel like this is already the longest pregnancy! I am only 4 months! Lol I think it is just because i got big so quick and it feels like I'm further along than i really am. I know when it is all over i am going to wish i could have slowed things down. So i remind myself of this everyday now. I have had a lot of time to think about how i want this delivery to go when it gets here. I had a Epidural and this time around I'm wanting to try to wait longer or not even have one all together. With Gavin and I ended up not nursing him. (long story short.. it wasn't going to happen with baby Gavin) So i kinda have had a weird outlook on nursing sense i only did it a couple weeks with Gavin. But this time around i want to try so much harder, hoping i will love it and things can be a little different. I do like the way i did things with Gavin.. I got to enjoy the delivery more without the excruciating pain. . and I had a lot of help from Brandon during the night to bottle feed him. I just want to experience the other side and see what i really like better. So only time will tell. I'm very anxcious to find out if this one is a boy or girl. Both mine and Brandon's instincts say girl so we will just have to wait and see. Our hawaii trip is coming the end of april and Gavin is staying with g-ma and g-pa bird. We will see how well i will handle this. I have already cried 4 times thinking about leaving him that long.

a day in salem!

WHAT! 20! OH NO

So I'm at my Ob appointment 2 weeks ago and I have gained weight really fast this pregnancy. Each time i go in its a big difference. So then I'm at the gym yesterday and i decide to weigh myself to see how much i gained so far..... 20.. what.. 20 pounds. nu uh lol oh dear. I don't feel like i have gained that much! I don't think i look it.. maybe i do maybe everyone else notices it lol. I am 15 weeks along this coming sunday. I think the big thing is i onyl weigh 98 pounds normally so my body is making up for the fat i need really quikly. And lets not forget i have gone from a A cup to almost a C cup... so i know where most the weight is! Anyway quite the shocker. I'll be posting a before and now pic, ket me know what ya think.

Where is our COUNTRY going??

So after i did my last blog i got talking to Brandon a lot about it. He thought it would be a good idea to start this blog and get people to comment on it or blog on there own blog to let people know how they feel about the situation.. and maybe it will send this chain reaction that will make a difference.. just maybe.

WE don't know a lot of details but we do hear things and talk to other people about things the government is doing and how things are being run. It would make more sense to have a first grader in the government, to put in line these high mighty people who have all these master degrees..blah blah blah.

We are hoping that Michelle Obama $10 million plan to help child obesity is going to be worth it, because well they are spending so much money in that area, the money is needed so much more elsewhere. For example. . tax paying citizens who can't afford their medical bills or their mortgage payments, can't even afford to have kids, and so many husbands and wives are losing their jobs. Especially here in Oregon due to the measure 66 and 67 that was passed any small business is now being taxed more. How did that happen? Anyways, we think when the money is put in the right direction we might get a positive change. How about they provide those jobs to the people.. so they can afford the healthy food needed to keep their kids from becoming obese. And how about we let the responsible parents take care of their family so the money can be put into the right place at the right time. Of course if our Country wasn't in this situation, i do think that would be a great idea to help those children with obesity. But not hear and not now.

In so many areas millions of dollars are being put into these types of things. There are so many we don't even know of. The only reason we are in this mess is because of that.

One of President Obama plans to help A fish: (from Brandon) A fish in farmers canals were going extinct. So Obama put a plan together after a lot of thought, that he would shut down the canals so the farmers couldn't water their crops in attempt to save this poor fish. Outcome: Farmers can't afford to fill those canals if that water is not used for their crops. So farmers stopped paying for that.. which caused canals to dry and turn do dust. What do we think happen to those fish? they died! Now 20% of our crops have to be imported because all those farmers crops died! Now those farmers are also out of a job. Good attempted though to save A fish Obamba... i mean Obama.

Well running out of time.. Brandon is getting too worked up here. lol. We are off to church. But right your thoughts and frustration too.. let it out and maybe starting here on blogspot.com will make a difference.

TOO expensive!

So as everyone knows the last 6 months or so have been a little rough. But I hope its coming to an end. Brandon's swine flu..phnemonia..mono..and cold are gone. I just fought of a cold and now Gavin is fighting it. So I'm hoping in a few more days.. nodda! But my whole frustration comes from all are crazy expensive medical bills! bills bills! How do people survive down here. I was talking to my family about it and my sister said to blog about it! I was like "such a good idea" CuZ i want to know how everyone else handles it. For Brandon being in the hospital twice this year already and me being prego.. its a constant thing to see a bill in the mail for one or the other. How sad is it though that people are struggling so hard to survive just with food, clothing, and mortgage payments.. that they have to stress even more for medical bills. Me and Brandon have even considered having this baby up in Canada because there system is so much better and i could have the baby up there for.... FREE! ya i know. What is wrong down here. Someone needs to figure something out. But anyway we can't Cuz our little baby would need a passport to come back home and that takes about a month. So it's so sad CuZ we have always wanted a big family. But with $4500 or more spent on every delivery, how could we afford 5 kids.. i don't think we could. somehow I'm hoping things will change and quickly. Brandon does have a pretty goo job and we are so blessed. I just can't imagine people who are in school or not making very much and have to support family. Well besides all that frustration i am feeling like I'm getting my energy back this week and we got to see an ultrasound of our 2ND baby! The last two times i have been in .. my OB can't hear the heartbeat.. so we have had a few scares but after two ultrasounds all is fine! :) I'm just enjoying my time with Gavin before another little one gets here!

hospital agggain!

what? no? not again. Poor hubby. Brandon started feeling so tired and weird a few weeks ago. I really thought nothing of it because he hadn't been sleeping very good because of his back problems. So a few day went by and his throat started really hurting.. he ended up getting white blister things is the back and it got worse and worse. So he stayed home from work a few days after that... and woke up in the middle of the night almost passing out and getting cold sweats really bad. So that morning he could barely open his eyes.. i didn't know what was going on.. could someone really get the swine flu twice?? no no. (he had swine flu and phnemonia about 2 months back). So i take him into emergency at the hospital.

Mono: sucks = so sad. And it also comes with allot of symptoms. Brandon's spleen was twice the size it should be .. and he got hepatitis's in his liver which caused him to get jaundice. . Also they took a heart scan and it came back abnormal. So he had to have a Eco aka heart ultra sound. So everything thank goodness was alright with his heart. (he has had high blood pressure for 4 yrs) So after 2 days in the hospital and long long nights of brandon not be able to sleep or swallow without being in so much pain. .. we find out his spleen is attacking his white blood cells which is causing a low hemagloben level.. so he had to stay there. Then the next day his liver was getting even bigger and nothing had gotten better at all.. we were there another day. How can this get any worse. Poor brandon.. all drugged up on morpheen and other things.. i don't know the names lol.. but it was so hard seeing him go through it all. And to add to it .. we had barely seen gavin cuz he couldn't be around brandon too much.

So on day 5 we got to go home.. His liver went down and he was feeling a little better. He just has to get blood work done to keep an eye on everything and no physical work for 4 weeks. OH the stress of having loved ones get sick. I do not like it at all. Love you babe.
